Many people are hoping for better political times where there is not all this political divisiveness and strife. It is not going to become better soon, but eventually in terms of end events there will be a sudden and shocking unity amongst political parties. This turn of events will not be a positive change to those who follow Christ. How do I know this? Prophecy.
In this presentation I am using the term Democrat and Republican as illustration. I am observing Secularism and Religion as the two main ideologies in our time and are not confining a political party into one category here. These two driving forces will sweep away many Christians, and when they merge in the end the deception will be overwhelming.
Prophecy is important. Jesus said, “Behold, I have told you before” (Matt 24:25). The informed Christian is an equipped Christian. But more than this, the Scriptures shows us that prophecy brings us closer to Jesus Christ. “We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto you do well that you take heed, as to a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the Day Star arise in your hearts” (2 Pet 1:19). Jesus the Day Star wants to become more real to us.
