In nature big is not bad. Blue Whales ... Elephants ... Old Trees ... Big Sky ... Oceans. These things are gentle and life-affirming, for the most part.
But human organizations that get big ... well something happens to them. The bigger they are the more corrupt they are. As humanity gets bigger, it gets uglier. Think of humanity like Michael Moore. A person whose intelligence and physical size have an inverse relationship. The uglier he gets on the outside, the dumber he gets on the inside.
We can do better than Michael Moore. And if we're going to survive as a species, we're gonna have to do better.
