We were NOT ready for it

It's not the ONLY reason, but I think it's one of the major reasons we are where we are today. We are very accessible and the very nature of the tech that allows us to communicate brings forth the very worst ways that we DO communicate, as a species. There is only one thing that can fix this... and the fix doesn't come from the outside. We CAN be better than this, individually. As a species, though?... I guess we'll find out.
