Credit Card Companies Will Start Coding Gun Store Purchases

Credit Card Companies will now use MMC codes to flag gun store purchases. This of course includes weapons and ammunition. This will in effect build a gun and ammunition registry. Could this be a violation of the second amendment and privacy rights? Credit card companies think this will help stop mass shootings and unlawful activity. What do you think?
