Tentative Rail Agreement - Strike Adverted...For Now...Maybe

Negotiations for the railroad strike went through the night and there might be a tentative agreement between the bigger unions and the railroad companies. The agreement basically throws money at the problem, trying to payoff the workers when they really wanted better working conditions, sick leave, and a better family life. I see reports that there will be retroactive raises (big ones) and bonuses from $5,000 and up, but I don't see much in the way of work conditions improving. We will have to wait and see if those are included and if the union members agree to them. It could still all fall off the rails and lead to a strike.
