China Puts Chengdu in Lockdown - Major Electronics, Auto, IT, and Pharmaceuticals Impacted

China has put their 6th largest province (according to GDP) into lockdown due to a C19 outbreak. But is that really the reason? Major auto, aerospace, IT, and pharmaceutical companies are located in Chengdu, including Foxconn where Apple makes their iPhones. Does China know something about this virus that we don't and they are protecting their people? Or is this a stealth sanction against the US and the West by reducing manufacturing capacity and causing supply shortages? Or is it something else?
