Space saving 55 gallon drum storage 224 lbs + in one drum.

A 55 gallon drum will hold an incredible amount of materials. In this one I had 224 lbs of various grains and sever freeze dried items. The lid is cut off the top of the barrel and inverted to give a very good sealing lid that is mouse and insect resistant. This would replace about 10, 5 gallon buckets. If you have to buy the buckets the run about $7 each with lid. That would be $70 and the barrel cost me $15. That is pretty cheap and I would expect more like $30 for a used barrel if not more. So, for about 1/2 the cost you get a very sturdy container. Also the is quite a bit of space saving.
