This became especially apparent when Kanye announced his support of Donald Trump in his election for US president.

As soon as Ye went o nTV wearing a Make America Great Again hat and discussing his belief in Trump. The accusations of him being mentally unwell began to circulate. It's almost as though it was a coordinated attack on West to diminish his standing in the community at large. Thereby minimising his impact in terms of his pro-Donald Trump statements.
