Back in the 90's I was sent to Germany to be attached to 1-4 IN as a Kraznovian or "OPFOR" (Opposing force). Essentially we were the bad guys who fought NATO to teach NATO how to fight the Russians. One day my squad leader asked me if I was "Green" or "Orange" and it taught me an important lesson about being a soldier.
