Let's take a walk thru of my Old Town Pack canoe and I discuss the why of selecting my boat and the why behind my customization's. I also talk about the pros and cons of canoes, kayaks, and pontoon boats. Included are some tips on transporting and essential gear. Hopefully you will find some information that you can use in your boat buying and customizing decisions. I am not an expert but have many years of fishing out of canoes, yaks, and a few pontoons on small creeks, rivers, ponds, lakes, and inshore tidal creeks. Maybe some of my experience can benefit some of you guys buying your first boat or maybe you are thinking of changing boats or looking for ways to customize your existing boat for a more fun fishing experience.
