Chasing the F units on the Reading and Northern with Ian and Cam

Each meet and great I go on just seems to get better and better, each one has its special moments. This one by far really felt special. I met up with Ian from the youtube channel Lehigh River Subdivision. and he brought his son Cam.. and what a day it was. Ian had us start the Day in Hamburg PA. to chase the F units on the Reading and Northern scenic RR. and as this is Fall the background colors of the trees turning made it look all the more splendid. Ian had the route down pat. as the train went by we headed to a new area and town and as we waited for the train to arrive we got to talk and laugh and share stories and have fun with little Cam, now I can't tell you about any place we went nor remember any names of towns.. as at the time was not important to me. I was just in the moment of the great company Ian and Cam was giving and the fall air and colors of the surrounding mountains seemed so surreal. In-between each stop the wife and I would discuss the events that just happened and how great Ian and Cam were.. and what do we think we're going to see next. we ended the day meeting Sam, Ian's wife. and they took us to this awesome 50s style diner and we sat and laughed and shared our day over dinner. and knowing the whole time that it was about to end any minute, was not a happy thought for me. as we said our good byes and well wishing I couldn't help thinking of the friendships we make in life and wish some of them were made sooner. as Ian is one of those people you wish you met sooner. Thank you Ian, Cam and Sam for such an amazing Day. it will come again.
