God of War #04 – The Bearded Beefer and His Sac-Seed

One of my favourite, and probably the funniest line in the game. After meeting the World Serpent, they find Brok is one step ahead of them, already setting up a shop before them. Soon after, they come across Sindri, who identifies himself as Brok’s brother, though the two had cut ties.

At the foot of the mountain, the journey before them seems not so far as Kratos and Atreus begin their decent up, fighting through the monsterous dwellers that have made the area their home. Unfortunately, their way is blocked by an obstacle designed by Odin, the Black Breath which the Witch informs them can only be conquered by the Light of Alfheim, which means that their journey is far from over. Backtracking, we find that the Witch is able to grant us use of the Bifrost, and opening up so much more of the world to explore.

With God of War – Ragnarok coming in just a few short weeks, it’s time to get good again and dive back into the beginning of Kratos and Atreus’ journey to work off any rusty play style I currently have.

God of War was developed by Santa Monica Studio in 2018 and was a Playstation Exclusive until it was ported over to PC in 2022. A fantastic game showing how former God of War Kratos has changed since the events of his previous game and is adapting to his new role as sole parent to Atreus as they journey to the highest peaks in the land to fulfill his late wife’s final wishes.
