This is a tutorial about how to make a leather sheath with 3D printed molds.

With 3D molding technique you can obtain consistent, perfect results in leather forming with little or no experience and with minimal tools.

The key of the 3D printed molds is that it ensures the process yields the same quality product every time.

💡 The PDF pattern is for the large Leatherman holster.

✅ The STL files are for 3 molded sheath dimensions:
â–¶ Large 3.4/1.6/1 inch (86/40/24 mm)
â–¶ Medium 3.2/1.6/0.9 inch (81/40/22 mm)
â–¶ Small 2.8/1.4/0.7 inch (71/36/18 mm)

You can adapt the PDF pattern for the medium and small size 3D printed molded sheaths. This way you can make sheaths for all Leatherman types.

MATERIALS
9-10 oz (3.5-4 mm) vegetable tanned leather
0.035" (0.89 mm) waxed polyester thread
leather dye (optional)
edge dye

1 Sam Browne stud

cutter
1.5 mm hollow punch
needles
mallet
cutting pad
(access to) 3D printer for STL files
