Are All Human Beings Equal?

As the world fights increasingly for 'equality' of people in every area of life, shouldn't we first ask what we mean by 'equal'?

We certainly don't start in an equal place.

We certainly don't get dealt equal opportunities throughout life.

We certainly don't put in equality of effort.

Do we only mean equality of outcome? Is that just?
