2023 Dodge ORDER GLITCH! Last Call Charger Challenger Allocations (plus mystery car?)

Order banks are open for the 2023 Dodge Charger and Challengers, from SXT, GT, R/T to the Hellcats, Super Stocks and Jailbreaks. But, orders are mostly sold out. Big dealers got all of the allocations. Special editions are also given to the top 500 dealerships.

Bad news, DealerConnect, the site where orders are placed has errors in it. Options invalidate other options, like the Demonic Red interior option if ends up showing NO OTHER OPTIONS. Cloth seats, nothing else. This will lead to a lot of orders not meeting the deadline.

Last Call allocations are out. The top 500 dealerships will all be getting the Challenger Shakedown (392 Hemi Scat Pack), in Wide Body trim (which will be a manual transmission) and Narrow Body (Automatic). They will get one of each. The same 500 dealerships will also get one of each Charger Scat Pack Super Bee editions, one Wide Body, one Narrow Body, both with 1320 transmissions, suspension and drag radials. One is Plum Crazy, one B5 Blue.

The same 500 dealerships will all get at least one of each Swinger package, in Challenger and Charger body styles. The top 200 dealers will get six Swingers, 3 as Chargers, 3 as Challengers, in F8 Green with Sub-Lime stripe, Sub-Lime with black stripe (manual cars) and Smoke Show with Sub-Lime stripe.

Dealerships from 201-300 will not get the manual cars, so only the Smoke Show and F8 Green cars, one each Charger and Challenger, totalling 4 cars.

Dealerships from 301-500 will get just one each Charger or Challenger in F8 green.

Markups will be an issue, as will dealerships that stash away these cars.

The Hellcat cars will be issues to the top 300 dealerships, each getting a Black Ghost Challenger Hellcat Redeye (Jailbreak, with 807HP) and a King Daytona Charger Hellcat Redeye (Jailbreak with 807HP)

Prices are up by 3k on average for trim levels, but good news is that options are down. Of course, it is possible that the system is still glitching and final pricing shown is not correct. Fix this Dodge! Overall this might mean prices for MSRP will be lower, but of course ADM (markup) is already insanely high.

Still, orders are mostly placed by the time this video publishes.

The interesting news is that on Dodge’s Dealer Connect site, in the drop downs for allocations for 2023 models, the Dodge Viper is displayed! This might simply be an error but it would also hint at the return of the Viper, in it’s base trim, GTS trim and ACR trim. This might be a last minute decision to compensate for the lack of a seventh SEMA car that never materialized, or simply Dodge trying to maintain some performance credibility with the introduction of a next generation Viper.

Unless its electric, in which case, they’re done. That would sully the name and reputation of what a Dodge Viper is. I explain why I suspect that a Viper is coming.
