Sons of God, Giants, Dragons, and Thunderbirds

The Antediluvian period (pre-flood epoch) describes the "Sons of God" getting together with "the daughters of men" and a race of giants was formed (Genesis chapter 6).
The staggering part is that giants from 9' to 12' appear AFTER the Flood and there "were many." So, is this still going on with different results? Bible passages contain multiple mysteries that are fascinating to puzzle over.
