Random & Interesting Episode 12: Distributor Gear Failure

If anyone has any idea how this happened, please let us know below! This video is the promised update on the Bent69 from a Catalina Wagon video. Three teeth sheared off of the MSD Mellonized Distributor gear, and it is mated to a Lunati roller cam. I do not understand this failure, and unfortunately we will have to wait until next year to really look further into how this failed, and what damage is done. We did get the engine running with another distributor temporarily, and we will continue to learn more as we can. I am getting worried for the car hobby community as we see more videos based on parts failures, and it takes some of the joy out of building custom cars.
