Sarang is a 155mm of 45 caliber gun, It`s a upgrade of original 130mm M46 Russian field gun.Indian Army has +1000 M46, some +500 upgraded to 155mm x 45cal, In 2008 Soltam won $47.5M to upgrade 180 M46 & repeat order of 250.In 2013 OFB won contract to deliver 300 pieces up-gunned to 155mm of 45 caliber.
