Blitz Games | The Second Day

I have to say, blitz players are incredible. I feel like they have a much stronger grasp of tactics and openings than the same rating level of rapid players. I mean, I kinda remember being in the 600s rapid, and I never saw the crazy tactics I'm seeing in the 500s of blitz. Also, nobody in the 500s bangs out 10 mainline moves of an opening.

Anyway, I'm enjoying blitz a lot and it's become a daily part of my chess! I use it to warm up and to gauge whether my chess brain is active enough to handle some rapid games. Hopefully this will help me avoid those games where I chase a win in rapid and end up losing 90 rating points haha.
