Discerning a Spiritual Leader Requires Time in the Word

Knowing God's Word is necessary to be able to discern the leaders or teachers you allow in your life. There is a lot of false doctrine being taught today (prosperity gospel for example) and you need to put time into knowing the Bible so you can better discern what is truth and what is truth being bent to fit today's culture or tickle one's ears.
