Always On Special #Shorts

Have you noticed at the supermarket of late, there are always so many things on special? This wall was literally littered with yellow tickets. Everything was either half-price, or 40%-off. Some things were even better than half price. Chips always seem to be half-price, at least, one brand or another, as are unhealthy snacks and chocolate biscuits, as well as plastic containers and batteries, or at least, they’re on special quite often. This leads me to believe that these companies are still making money off these items, even when sold for half-price. It wasn’t that long that 10 kilograms of rice was selling for $10 half-price, now it’s $19. Have they just jacked up the prices to counter the half-price specials to make us think that we’re getting a good deal? It wouldn’t surprise me. But what about those poor mugs who are actually paying the full price of $38 for the rice? Do those people even exist?
