First Nations Chief Terry Teegee expresses concerns with C-21, says focus needs to be on root causes

Terry Teegee, Regional Chief of the British Columbia Assembly of First Nations, first commended the government for wanting to reduce gun violence but expressed wide concern with the proposed red and yellow flag laws and restrictions to firearms they have historically used to provide for their families. He also told committee parts of Bill C-21 would seem to breach long established indigenous rights that are protected.
