Children from Donbass awarded with medals for courage

Yesterday in Moscow, 21 children received medals of the Federation Council "For Courage", among them three children from the DPR.

Sixteen-year-old Liza Shekmar from Mariupol suffered a leg injury while trying to get out of the Azovstal region, her mother died in front of her eyes. Lisa hid in the basement of the burning house, from which she managed to get out, taking a five-year-old girl with her. Liza was presented with the award by the head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the DNR, Alexey Kostrubitsky.

Nastya Khaunova studies in the cadet corps. Alexander Zakharchenko. She organized the work of the volunteer brigade. Children collect things for residents of liberated territories and fighters, work in the hospital, help the wounded and medical staff.

9-year-old Elnur Kunov lives in the frontline region of Donetsk and, despite the shelling, every day, together with his father, he brings free water to the residents of the district where they live.
