The idea of the NHS was people would have healthy lives

When the NHS was set up. The idea was people would become healthy and so the cost of the NHS would become nothing. However socialists never calculate that people take what they can when it is free. It is why all socialist systems never work. As people take and take. Make it private and people would get healthy or end up with bigger payments. They are adults and it is up to them. If they opt to smoke then that is up to them. And if by doing so they have to pay more for health services then again they are adults.
