From my reading it sounds like this chap had mental health problems

From reading things about this chap it sounds like he had mental health problems. He had a lot of problems. And also I believe his child had died. While he may or may not have had so called far right views. It seems to be a cop out or a political point score to suggest he did it because he was far right and to not consider his state of mind and all his problems he had in life.
