Aaron Carter began performing music when he was just 7 years old, releasing his eponymous debut album in 1997. His breakout LP, Aaron’s Party (Come and Get It), arrived in 2000, and featured the hit singles “I Want Candy,” “Bounce,” and “That’s How I Beat Shaq.” He released three more studio albums in his lifetime: 2001’s Oh Aaron, 2002’s Another Earthquake, and 2018’s Løvë.

During a 2019 appearance on The Doctors, Carter claimed he had been diagnosed with multiple personality disorder, schizophrenia, and acute anxiety.
