Therefore, the qualification for being baptized is to have repented of your sins and to believe that Jesus died for your sins and rose from the dead. The salvation which you receive is by faith in what Jesus Christ has done for you and it's not a reward for the good deeds that you've done for Him. You don't have to qualify to be baptized by doing a lot of good deeds, but you should do good deeds anyway. You don't have to qualify for being baptized by understanding everything about Christian doctrine even though you should try to understand everything about the Christian doctrine. You qualify by repenting and believing that Jesus Christ died for us and rose from the dead.
