Democratic Party Senator from Delaware, Joe Biden, explains in detail his support for the 1994 Crime Bill pushed by Democrats and the presidency of William Jefferson Clinton. The Crime Bill is credited for exploding America’s prison population, into the largest incarcerated population on earth. A disproportionate among them come from the African American community, for non-violent drug offences, despite African Americans consistently being shown by publicly funded research to neither use nor sell drugs at any higher rate than ‘Whites’. Biden would later say in 2016 that he had no regrets in supporting the Bill.
