Trex Clip adapting to use to secure second to last board of a composite deck

The end clips are fine for starting the first few boards, but on the other side of the deck, you want to still secure the second to last board without screws. To still use hidden fasteners in that second to last board groove. Use a grinder to quickly whittle off one of the groove lobes. Very quick to grind off the lobe. Remember, end clips have the screw under the board. A 'one lobe' hidden fastener is still accessible in the deck board gap.
