Bill Maher is very concerned about democracy. Specifically, he believes that if Democrats lose the midterm elections, that’s the death knell for the American experiment in democratic governance.

Apparently unbeknownst to the popular comedian, American democracy died decades ago, replaced with a corporatist oligarchy where both major political parties answer to the same masters in Big Pharma, in the fossil fuel industry, on Wall Street and in the military industrial complex.
