It was questionable for many because Saturday has no professional coaching experience. For others, the hire underscores the lack of opportunity for black coaches in the NFL. Jason says there’s a reason the Colts didn’t hire a black coach to finish the season, and that could be a good thing for the minority candidates who were passed over.
