Shotcut Fails

Hello! I use Shotcut for my editing. It has been a great piece of software up until recently. Now i am getting a reoccurring issue where the editor will not load video for editing.

If you have any suggestions that don't involve me forking out over $100 bucks total for a new editor software, please let me know!
