VAWT 004 - Elliptical Wings and LED

The new small VAWT design was fitted with magnets and a coil. The characteristics of the generator were measured and the VAWT was mounted on a pole with an LED for a load. The LED would begin to glow in about a 4.0 to 4.2 m/s wind. This VAWT has elliptical planform wings starting at 50% along the length of the wing.
