These types of shows were acceptable at one time when people weren't so sensitive. I used to get slammed with all the Norwegian jokes, like Betty White in Golden Girls. I didn't care; I just laughed along because I knew it was fun. I once had a co-worker who had one white and one black parent. SHE used to kid around about being both races. We used to laugh and laugh and laugh with her. She made life fun at work when we needed it most.
