FTX, a custodial cryptocurrency derivatives exchange, has failed. Just like with banks, except that no government bailed them out. The White House wasted no time to use this as an excuse to call for crypto regulations.

But EXCHANGES ARE NOT CRYPTO. Crypto is about YOU having the money, not some third party you can't trust. In fact, the WHOLE POINT was to get away from "trusted" third parties!
