Ditch Leg Extensions and Do These Instead
DO THIS INSTEAD OF LEG EXTENSIONS!
I am not anti leg-extension but if you ask most sport trainers, they are not fans of leg extensions. The shearing force placed on your knees on this open-chain movement can wreak havoc on some knees, including my old-man knees.
This movement replicates the single extension of a leg extension but instead of being potentially bad (I use that loosely, I like leg extensions for many applications) it is actually rehabilitative and prehabilitative.
This was done at the end of my workout after heavy squats and leg press. Westside likes to warmup with sleds. Regardless of when you do them, do reverse and standard sled drags at least once a week! AND LOAD IT UP!
