I was thirteen the first time that I got stoned
I was seventeen the first time that I got laid
I was sixteen when saw my first punk show

Another night another party
Another fight but this time not me
Taking shots and taking chances
Bros and hos and circumstances

Killing time and killing boredom
Hope the cops don't kick the door in
Laugh it all off in the morning
How the hell did I get home last night?

For every drunken argument, we never held on to contempt
It always faded over time and
We would always leave it in the past, because we had each other's back
We never knew when it would all be over

Monday morning back to boring work and school
And all the other shit that wasted time
Until we got back to the weekend
And we got to sink our teeth into the wasted time that meant the most to us

Getting drunk and waiting for the next show
Getting my ass chewed when I got home
It didn't matter with my friends beside me
At least I wasn't fuckin up alone

Soon I heard friend got married
I swore it wouldn't happen to me
Another show another party
Hanging out and telling stories

Like when we got robbed at gunpoint
Or when that cop took our last joint
Holy shit those were the best times
Fuck my life that was twenty years ago

For every day that slips away, we try make the good times stay
But it gets harder over time and
We still reminisce about the past, because we thought that it would last
We never knew that it would all be over
