It's difficult to imagine Star Trek of old without thinking about Jerry Goldsmith. His contributions to both the series and the movies are nothing short of legendary. He scored the first Star Trek motion picture and it was in that movie that he originated the theme that would become synonymous with Star Trek: The Next Generation. A few years later he went on to create this masterpiece, the main theme to Star Trek: Voyager. Say what you want about the show (I liked it), this epic opening song perfectly represents everything that Star Trek stood for...Hope, Vision and the Spirit of Adventure.
