Origins of Man III: The Demigod Cycle, DNA, Clones, the Hidden Future (1#10)

I had an epiphany where I realized that the story of man arising in the ancient past seemingly out of nowhere via genetic modification by a new different vastly superior human. At this point like many of us, I have to put that story on my shelf until I get more info and insight. However, I thought into the recent past as well as this past century's bioscientific advancements to realize that the ancient so called fantasy of gmo-man's origins is happening right now in subtle as well as outright ways. This story becomes clearer when you starts with DNA (1950) and following that line of history to the present. if you pay attention to how that story is unfolding, you begin to see how this can easily blast off into "fantasy". One eery thing that I realized is that Zacharia Stitchen's stories, that were written nearly half a century ago, is that the GMO and DNA modifications are already happening and at a tremedous pace. The taboo of it all has driven it underground and onto the black market world. This is far to powerful for a government/power to just abandon it after putting so much money (many billions) and effort into it. I have a HUGE suspicion that we are already neck deep in possibilities that can be attained by toying with man and playing god. So, I lay this out to ask: who are the gods and is this ancient story circling back approaching rapidly now? Where will you stand when all this blows open? What can be done? Are we helpless in all of this?
