Why is the world going into darkness? What should we do about it?

If you see God's Word coming true if you see the prophecies of God being fulfilled, why would you be fearful, depressed, or angry? And why would you seek to change what God has proclaimed? God required us to rejoice when we see the signs...and the signs are usually darkness.
