In Chapter 12 of the Azure Gleam route, the Empire begins to feel the assault in the west from the Kingdom, so General Randolph enlists the help of a certain dreaded mercenary to defend Hevring Territory, the Empire's last western bastion. This is the major turning point of this story. Like Chapter 10 of Scarlet Blaze, this is where you decide whether to kill or recruit Byleth, with your decision greatly impacting the rest of the story.
