VIRUS 1980 - This is the Director's Version, not the highly edited US version. It is complete & all scenes cut out for US release have been restored. The film was a joint US/Japanese production with dozens of US stars involved. Some restored Japanese scenes are not in English, but those have English subtitles.

An engineered virus, released during a plane crash, kills almost the entire human population. The only survivors are scientists and military personnel in Antarctica, who desperately try to find a cure and save what is left of the human population from further destruction.
