Did Russia Just Fire The First Shots of WW3?

Judging by how the major parties are acting, we are not on the cusp of World War III. Poland was hit by a couple of missiles, the question so far is who fired them? Even if it was Russia, this should be dealt with behind closed doors and would almost certainly have been an accident based on what was hit.
