How Do You Know Which Side is Telling the Truth

In a recent PragerU Fireside Chat by Dennis Prager a young man in his 20s asked how he was supposed to figure out who is telling the truth and who isn’t.

Jacob: Hi Dennis, my name is Jacob, I’m 19, I’m from from Hillsdale, Michigan. My question for you is in this era of short attention spans and an excess of information at our fingertips, what kind of tools and methods and habits can my generation use to find the truth in a world that really doesn't care about the truth too much anymore, to be honest, and it has taught us to be skeptical and untrusting of a lot of information going around. Thanks.

Dennis Prager: It's a tough, it's a tough issue my friend, it really is. This is a very serious problem. So, if my response, which is going to be brief, by necessity begins with this. You have to know the following and I hesitate to say it because it sounds political, but I swear I don't mean it as political. Truth is not a left-wing value. Truth is a liberal value, truth is a conservative value, but it's not a left-wing value and that has been true from Lenin and the Russian Revolution to the left in the west and in America to this day.
