LIVE COVERAGE: Waukesha Parad Suspect, Darrell Brooks Sentencing – Day 1

The sentencing of Darrell Brooks, who was convicted of killing six people and injuring dozens more while driving his truck through a Christmas parade near Milwaukee in 2021, begins on Tuesday November 15.

A jury convicted Brooks of 76 charges, including six of intentional homicide which each carry a mandatory life sentence.

Waukesha County Circuit Judge Jennifer Dorow has discretion over the other 70 counts.

The sentencing itself is likely to come on Wednesday, after the court has heard oral and written impact statements from some of the victims.
