S03E13 Becker's Easy Eats: Easy Chili Con Carne

Chili Con Carne, or sometimes just referred to as chili, comes in different forms. Originally prepared with diced meat and no beans, the dish has evolved into using ground meat and with red kidney beans added. There are so many ways to enjoy chili con carne:
- With corn chips or tortilla chips as snack,
- With rice as a full meal,
- Pour on top of hotdog (chili dog!),
- Pour on top of fries with cheese for loaded fries,
- Pour over nachos for loaded nachos, etc...

My take on the recipe uses beer and with the addition of cocoa powder. They give the chili an added depth of flavor! Believe me, I ate the rice and the chips! It was that good! Try it too!

EASY CHILI CON CARNE

Ingredients:
500g ground beef
420g canned red kidney beans
2 cans crushed tomatoes
1 onion (diced)
1 red bell pepper (diced)
1 can beer (any brand)
2 pcs beef bouillon
1 ½ tbsp sugar
2 tbsp tomato paste
1 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
Oil for sauteing
Salt to taste

Spice Mix:
1 ½ - 2 tbsp cayenne pepper
4 tsp paprika
4 tsp cumin
2 tsp garlic powder
2 tsp onion powder
2 tsp dried oregano
