WATCH: Shirley Gunn Testify in the Imam Haron Inquest

Shirley Gunn gave her testimony about being detained by the security police at the Cape High Court in the Imam Haron Inquest. Shirley Gunn is a South African former anti-apartheid activist and Umkhonto we Sizwe member who was falsely accused of the Khotso House bombings in 1998. The inquiry into the late struggle activist’s cause of death has entered its second week and is set to wrap up on Friday. Imam Haron was identified as a “security risk” and arrested in May 1969. Four months later he was found dead in his Maitland police station cell.
