Disney is DESPERATE for People to Watch Andor + Testing the Waters for Season 2?

Disney's move bringing the first two episodes to cable TV REEKS of desperation. We've talked previously about Star Wars: Andor's low viewership ratings and Disney doesn't seem to be too happy about it. Also, the timing, in our opinion, calls into question their commitment to making season 2. The timing is odd to say the least.
