For myself, I am grateful I got this life. I don't expect to experience an afterlife. You know what, that's okay. I don't feel entitled to eternal paradise. Hell, I wasn't entitled to this life. It was a gift. And one of the good things that can be said about me, is that I have always been grateful for gifts, no matter their size.
