We are a nation in decline, Mr. Trump, 76, declared on Tuesday night while addressing an audience of invited guests in the ballroom of his Mar-a-Lago private club in Palm Beach.

"The previous two years under Joe Biden have been a time of sorrow, hardship, concern, and despair for millions of Americans."

He said, "I am announcing my campaign for president of the United States tonight in order to make America great and magnificent again.
